Composted Woodchip Mulch
Many of our customers now use composited woodchips on the garden as mulch.
This has the dual benefit of effectively suppressing weed growth and minimising moisture loss, so your garden will look tidier, your plants won't dry out and you will have less work to do.
Using Mulch
To be fully effective it needs to be spread about 75mm deep (3").
1 cubic metre covers 13 square metres (15 square yards).
One 5 cubic metre load covers 65 square metres (75 square yards).
Mulch can be applied at any time of the year but spring is best in order to keep winter moisture in and prevent weeds from getting established.
Delivery
We supply and deliver ready composited woodchip mulch in bulk loads. We usually deliver 12 cubic metre loads at £14 per cubic metre (minimum order 12 Cubic metre / 27 tonnes).
This cost works out very favourably compared to buying bags of bark from a garden centre.
Delivery is FREE within a 10 mile radius.
WARNING - Mulch can be addictive - once you have started using it, you wll not want to go back to laborious weeding and watering!
